You are my Sunshine ~ Lula Gray is 1! – One year old Cake Smash – Gulf Breeze Studio Photographer

OMG!!! I cannot believe my baby is ONE!! She is such a ray of light in our world and brings so much happiness. I was so excited to have my NEW STUDIO almost complete, {complete enough} for her one year session. I always knew I wanted “you are my sunshine” theme from the get go. With the pandemic, planning became hard. I wasn’t sure if we were going to do a party or not. Anyone who knows me, knows I go over the top with my kids birthdays. Also, if you know me, I have three kid birthdays in June… Yes, insane. So. Much. Thinking.!! LOL! It was a trifecta of birthdays. We definitely felt like winners at the end. I love simple and didn’t want to over do it. I had this whole other vision in my head. Took some test shots, didn’t like it. So went to lowes and bought some poly board. I wasn’t sure if I was going to paint a cute boho looking rainbow or a bright yellow sun. I’m glad I went with the sun. I also wasn’t planning on using the rainbow onsie, but I loved the way it made her “look” one. You can see her cute little chubby thighs and it fits her oh so snug. At 12 months, Lula is all of a sudden acting like a big girl. She mimics everything. She’s our first child to really love dancing to music. She holds her hands up in a dab like motion and it’s as though the music and beat just moves her. It’s such a delight to watch. When she sees one of us for the first time after some time away, she gets SO EXCITED! Like she can’t contain it. She’s crawling and climbing everything. She loves ripping up paper and eating it. When something is taken away from her, she’s onto the next thing she can grab. Words she knows are mama, dada, bubba, night night and a few more. Her favorite song is wheels on the bus and knows the hand motions for it. It’s so freaking adorable!!! I just can’t explain the happiness she brings. We never planned on having 5 children, but gah, I’m SO thankful, so so thankful that we did! We are having family photos tonight and can’t wait to show I exist as well with my babies.
