Mama and her Charlie Bell

Oh Ms. Charlie Bell… How adorable is she? and how GORGEOUS is her mama??? This was a very special session this day. I didn’t think Shirley was going to make it. I got a text to go ahead and start with my next client. {We were shooting 20 min mini sessions} I was thinking Oh nooo! I hate for her to miss out on this and was not thinking there would be very much light left after I finish the next family. I was finishing up my clients and I see Shirley dancing as if saying she’s lost her mind but she made it haha. I was so excited! We had just a little bit of light left. We jumped right into it and I about fell over when I saw that adorable bonnet she was wearing. A family heirloom. It was her grandmothers. See what I didn’t know, is that Shirley’s grandmother had actually passed away RIGHT before our session. As in hours before she came to meet me. She had hesitated on whether she should come or not and her mother actually encouraged her to come bc she was doing these photos for her. She said she could feel her shining down on us and man, what an incredible sunset. I can’t help to think of the connection. I’m so honored to be able to at least distract her during these photos and give her some great memories of her and her daughter representing her grandmother in the best way possible. <3 Love my job!
